We cannot say enough wonderful things about Golden Retriever Haven, and we sing their praises whenever the opportunity presents. 

We met Allan and his son Daniel in December of 2021. We had just purchased our new house and were certain that we needed a special dog to make it a home. Enter Benny (AKA Haven’s Gentle Ben). As soon as we held him, Benny boy stole our hearts.

Allan and Daniel walked us through the entire process; we met Benny’s parents (Scarlet and Diesel) and his extended golden family. The entire pack welcomed us with wagging tails and that famous golden retriever “smile”. The Waldner’s have such a depth of knowledge and connection to this breed. We felt utterly confident partnering with them to bring a special boy into our lives. They were always quick to respond to any questions that we had. We also love sending updates and pictures of Benny’s growth and progress. We are proud to be members of the Haven family!

So, what is having a dog from Golden Retriever Haven like? Where do I start...

Benny is exceptional. He never ceases to amaze us with his intelligence, beauty, and loyalty. His temperament is phenomenal; we also have a 16-year-old cat and Benny gently interacts with her. We love to nurture his retrieving instincts by playing fetch and hiding his toys around the property. He always finds them! He is very well socialized around other dogs and makes friends with ease. He loves to be outside and is the ultimate hiking companion. Needless to say, he has been an absolute joy and blessing in our lives.
