We are a family run kennel located in southern Manitoba, about 70 km south of Winnipeg.
We live on a 10 acre rural fenced property, where our dogs enjoy lots of freedom to run, play, hunt and swim.
We named our kennel Haven because it means a place of safety, (of refuge) a place where they can excel and reach their full potential. We have a pond for swimming, meadows, fields and bushes to hunt and play or relax. We have the nicest kennel with floor heat for winter, and AC in the summer. Our dogs are house dogs as well, they take turns being pampered, and love to watch animal planet while eating our popcorn or chewing on a treat. Our dogs are born and bred therapy dogs, their social skills are very evident with their loved ones. They are a part of our family, each adding their own amazing unique personalities and cute quirks.
We have been breeding Goldens for 15 years, it has been an amazing journey for us. We have grown to love and embrace the breed with passion. We have invested countless amounts of time, resources, this dedication has truly become a way of life for us. The dogs are always in the equation as we plan details of our lives around our dogs, they bring us endless amounts of satisfaction and joy.

Our vision is to breed only the best quality Golden Retriever dogs; that will excel in obedience and natural talent. Dogs that are superior in stature and embody the profile of a true Golden Retriever. They meet the CKC breed standard requirements, and have exceptional temperament for service or therapy dogs, which in turn make the best family pets. In short, you can take our dogs any direction you like. Whether it be your next hunting companion, or pursue agility, or if you need a service or therapy companion, a Haven pup would meet the requirement.
Our vision is to place a good quality puppy in a loving and eager family. We love updates from our puppy parents as we like to stay connected with our clients, provide support, and we also thrive on feedback for our program to excel and exceed. Our practice is to screen for common health problems in Golden Retrievers, such as hips, elbows, heart and eyes. You can look up all our dogs on K9 Data for their test results, or on the OFA website. All our dogs are DNA health tested and we make breeding choices based on these test results.
